The author gives an account of certain limit theorems on the Heisenberg group: law of large numbers, central limit theorem, law of the iterated logarithm, domains of attraction of stable laws, etc.
At the same time, he also studies some aspects of Brownian motion related to the point of view of probabilistic limit theorems. The book contains an interesting and relatively complete bibliography on probabilistic limit theorems on nilpotent groups. (MathSciNet)
