These notes can be divided into two parts. The first part (Chapters 2–4) is a detailed exposition of one of the two major streams of rational homotopy theory, the theory of the minimal differential graded algebra (DGA) model as introduced by Sullivan. (The other stream, differential graded Lie algebra models, is not mentioned.) The second part, Chapters 5–7, discusses the application of the theory to the computation of minimal models (and cohomology rings) of certain classes of spaces such as homogeneous spaces, unions of simplicial complexes, and total spaces of fibrations. ...
