Chapters 1, 2 and 3, entitled "Multiplicity of spectral measures'', "The spectral theorem'' and "Bochner's theorem'', respectively, constitute a careful and well-organized exposition of standard topics in functional analysis with some original modifications and rearrangements. The author hopes that the latter will make some of the arguments more natural and intuitive. Chapters 4 and 5 present work of the author and others on "measurable cocycles''. Apparently the results of Sections 3–6 of Chapter 5 have not been published before. ... (MathSciNet)
