... The author's textbook is interesting because it contains an exposition of a central aspect of the theory and carries it farther than any other available textbook. It presupposes a good knowledge of topology and algebra, but every result concerning functions of several complex variables has been given a detailed proof. It is surprising that the author seems rather influenced by the modern French school of mathematics. The book does not contain original material, but it is very lucid and it is warmly recommended both as an introduction and as an advanced text. (MathSciNet)
