Bibliogr. p. 363-368. Index

This is a corrected and extended translation of the Russian original ["Nauka'', Moscow, 1973; MR0447860 (56 #6170)], describing in detail the results obtained by the author in the period from the early 1960s to the late 1970s, some of them in joint work, in particular with M. I. Višik. This work was done simultaneously with and independently of the efforts of western authors working in the field of pseudodifferential operators. This seems to explain the scarcity of references in the text to the bibliography of 113 entries. It would be a nontrivial task to clarify connections between the material in this monograph and the western works on the subject. ... (MathSciNet)
