This book contains more than 1300 problems in analysis, from elementary topics up to and including Fourier series and functional analysis. As the authors say, most of the problems are neither standard nor easy (the bibliography includes two dozen books containing problems that are not in this book). Some of the problems are original and some are classical theorems; few are trivial, but most are challenging and interestingly phrased. There are hints for solutions and references, but no complete solutions. The book is translated from an unreferenced Polish original into (sometimes quaint) English. It will be a valuable source for problem seminars and for interesting students in research. (Zentralblatt)
